Remedy for technology overload

I know turning off your phone and shutting down your computer is difficult but YOU HAVE TO DO IT. Leave these things at home and get outside - here is a technology-free Portland afternoon that's mapped out for you. Do it for yourself because you deserve it.

Here's a google map for directions.

KENNY AND ZUKE'S BAGELWORKS Prepare for your adventure with proper nourishment. These bagels are hand made and hands down my favorite in the city. Don't forget to grab a coffee for the road.

FOREST PARK Walk all the way up Thurman St. to the Forest Park entrance. Take your time up the hill and gather lots of home and garden ideas as you pass some of Portland's most amazing homes. It's hard to believe that this park is so close to the city. Step into nature and remember how important relaxing and being outside is to your health.

BETSY AND IYA When you've exercised to your limit, stroll back down the hill and head to one of Portland's most aesthetically pleasing and well-curated boutiques. Betsy and Iya's has amazing jewelry, candle, and clothing collections. All of the jewelry is actually made onsite so peek in to see if you can view their newest collections being made. Two of my favorite collections are Voyage,  travel-inspired earrings, rings, necklaces, and bracelets, and Bridges, a set of cuffs inspired by Portland's famous bridges.

BONUS: Mention Remedy Remade to receive 15% off of your purchase! For those of you outside of Portland, you can enter the code Remedy15 on their website to receive your discount (through this Friday).

ST. HONORE BAKERY - Now take yourself just a few doors down to this amazing French bakery and buy yourself the canele, chouquette, or croissant that you deserve. Savor your time away from constant tech connection and keep this lovely afternoon fresh in your mind when you're feeling overwhelmed.
